At Future Ordering, Olov drives our tech vision as Head of Development. We spoke with him about leadership, innovation, and what makes building great products so rewarding.

How would you describe your role at Future Ordering?

As Head of Development, my main responsibility is to ensure we deliver the features our product requires. But I don’t do this alone, our development teams are the ones who create the plans and solutions. I gather progress updates and communicate across stakeholders to keep everything aligned.

I also steer our technical direction beyond just features, focusing on broader initiatives like improving monitoring and moving toward event-driven architecture.

What's been your best memory at Future Ordering so far?

Some of the best moments come from major releases. The feeling of launching something we’ve all worked hard on after facing tough challenges together is unbeatable. It’s incredibly rewarding to celebrate those shared victories.

Why did you choose a career in IT and Development?

I’ve always loved building things. When I got my first computer as a kid, I knew instantly that this was something I wanted to do. Since then, creating software has been both a passion and a way for me to express creativity.

What do you enjoy most about working at Future Ordering?

Being part of a small, focused team means everyone takes real ownership. I enjoy working in an environment where we all pull together toward a common goal. The team spirit, combined with the freedom to make an impact, brings out the best in people.
