We recently interviewed our brilliant colleague Adam Markström who work as Team Lead and Developer within Payments at Future Ordering. He talked about the culture, values and how to maintain a sustainable work/life balance by having flexible working hours.
After my studies in computer science, I was hired by the company where I did my master’s thesis. I worked there for nine years, consulting for companies in various areas and sizes and gained experience from different roles but I mainly worked as embedded System Developer.
As the teams are allowed a high level of autonomy, my role is to prioritize and plan our projects together with the team and to be a part of the whole implementation process from design, architecture, implementation, code review and testing.
When the first customer was live using the Future Ordering platform. After months of hard work from all teams, it was really satisfying to see all the pieces fall into place and provide value to the customer.
I like the challenge. Development includes a lot of problem solving at many levels and the technology is constantly evolving, there are always new things to learn and room to improve.
All the passionate and helpful colleagues which all contributes to an engaging environment. I also value the flexible workplace- and working hours, making it easier to maintain a sustainable work/life balance.
I would describe it as a welcoming, engaging, and open-minded culture. There’s a good variety of people with different backgrounds, experiences and areas of expertise which allows for interesting discussions and insights.
You will be working in a great team using the latest technologies and have a high level of creative freedom while being surrounded by highly competent colleagues, all happy to share their experiences but also open to receiving new ideas.
